Zoe: The Ultimate Female Character

In “Things We Lock Away,” the latest episode of Caprica, Zoe demonstrates the theme of lived religion. In the episode, Zoe goes in search for the other “Deathwalker” in New Cap City. New Cap City, however, is a violent and depraved city where citizens go to act out their most animalistic thoughts and feelings and Zoe becomes their convenient target. Zoe allows them to abuse her, believing that she deserves their retribution after the bombing she caused. Zoe’s alter ego, however, convinces her to fight back and that her pursuit of meaning is worth something. “Things We Lock Away” reaffirms Zoe’s lived religion that there is a meaning to her existence and she is needed to find a spiritual purpose for humanity.

I would be interested in an expansion on this idea.
